Marine Boats Industry to reduce Petroleum-Based Plastics in Outboard Motor Packaging
By Combining Biodegradable Green Planet™ Shipping Material With Specially Shaped Corrugated Cardboard, Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki Tohatsu, Torqeedo, Yamaha Outboards Will Be Protected While Protecting The Environment.
Marine Outboard Motor SG announced today that outboard motors will soon arrive from Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki Tohatsu, Torqeedo, Yamaha Motor Company in specialized packaging developed to significantly reduce overall waste and the use of petroleum-based plastics.
This will be achieved through two important changes: First, Outboard Motor is replacing traditional polystyrene foam packing material with Green Planet™, a biodegradable polymer developed by Kaneka Corporation that is easily decomposable in seawater and is made from 100-percent biomass-derived polymers.

This Tohatsu outboard delivers the big power you want, but does so in an affordable, compact portable package. This outboard comes equipped with a 20 inch shaft, with a manual rope pull start. Perfect as a kicker motor for assist and backup of V-hull boats. Standard features include forward, neutral and reverse shift lever on the front of the engine, tiller steering and comes with an separate 3 gallon fuel tank and a 5-year factory warranty.
