Marine Boats Industry to reduce Petroleum-Based Plastics in Outboard Motor Packaging
By Combining Biodegradable Green Planet™ Shipping Material With Specially Shaped Corrugated Cardboard, Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki Tohatsu, Torqeedo, Yamaha Outboards Will Be Protected While Protecting The Environment.
Marine Outboard Motor SG announced today that outboard motors will soon arrive from Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki Tohatsu, Torqeedo, Yamaha Motor Company in specialized packaging developed to significantly reduce overall waste and the use of petroleum-based plastics.
This will be achieved through two important changes: First, Outboard Motor is replacing traditional polystyrene foam packing material with Green Planet™, a biodegradable polymer developed by Kaneka Corporation that is easily decomposable in seawater and is made from 100-percent biomass-derived polymers.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The 38 lb. The 2.5 HP Mercury outboard motor delivers affordable, portable power. The 2.5 HP is perfect for small inflatable boats, canoes and other small boats. The Mercury outboard motors are known for their large displacement powerhead which gives this outboard substantially more power than other similar class rated engines. Standard features in Model # Mercury 2.5MH is a 15 inch short shaft, twist grip throttle, forward-neutral gear shift and a built in 1 liter fuel tank with tiller steering. Also included inside the box is a propeller, owners manual took kit, and the Mercury 3 year factory warranty.
