Marine Boats Industry to reduce Petroleum-Based Plastics in Outboard Motor Packaging
By Combining Biodegradable Green Planet™ Shipping Material With Specially Shaped Corrugated Cardboard, Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki Tohatsu, Torqeedo, Yamaha Outboards Will Be Protected While Protecting The Environment.
Marine Outboard Motor SG announced today that outboard motors will soon arrive from Evinrude, Honda, Mercury, Suzuki Tohatsu, Torqeedo, Yamaha Motor Company in specialized packaging developed to significantly reduce overall waste and the use of petroleum-based plastics.
This will be achieved through two important changes: First, Outboard Motor is replacing traditional polystyrene foam packing material with Green Planet™, a biodegradable polymer developed by Kaneka Corporation that is easily decomposable in seawater and is made from 100-percent biomass-derived polymers.

The AB Alumina series is the lightest and most durable center console tender available. Featuring an aluminum hull with a modular console design, these boats require less horsepower than their fiberglass siblings. The AB 13ALX adds the forward jump seat in front of the console, giving the boat a total of four cushioned seats as well as a roomier beam. Davit lifting hardware is built into the boat along with a boarding step on the bow with a foldable cleat, two more foldable cleats on each side of the stern, and navigation lights.
